2011 Small Games license for Ontario?

Are they all just E-Licenses now? I see they are using a private US company to sell them now. Can you still get the stick on the back of the card types? Also do they not go on sale till January 1st? It wont let me purchase one on the net.
 
Thanks for the heads up - my Card expires at the end of the year and I'll need to repurchase fishing/small game shortly.


According to this, you should be still able to buy them locally:
Available from numerous licence issuers throughout Ontario. For the location of the issuer nearest you, contact the MNR office that serves your area.

Also available as an "instant" E-licence at ontario.ca/outdoorscard.

Yeah for some reason (I have a new temporary SG for 2010) it only shows me the option to buy another 2010 license and not either a 2011 license? I already had a 3 conservation license card that expires in 2011 so now I have two outdoor cards. The MNR mentioned to me that even though theres no way around the 2 cards, if I carry both at one I can get charged and fined.

Can you buy small games licenses for 2011 before 2011?

Yes. Mine expires December 31 this year but I received a renewal form in the mail in November. I went online and purchased a 3 year small game licence on November 27th. I printed out the E-Licence which tells me I have a three year small game licence valid from Nov. 27/10 to December 31/13. It says I have to keep it with my outdoors card for it to be valid. I should be getting the official one in the mail any day now as it stated if I paid online I would be mailed my new licence within 2 weeks.
 
I bought the 3 year hunt/fish in june 2010 to avoid the HST. Did it online. It came in the mail same as usual. Just keep the e-licence with you. I have had to show my e-licence to a CO while fishing, handed it to him from my boat. He asked me to remove it from the "ziplock" bag before handing it to him over open water. I refused (in case it blew away and got wet), but he still took it in his hand, looked at it (cuz he never seen one before) and handed it back.

He may have also been checking to see if your printer printed it out properly
to be a valid E licence.
In that if its good, you hold up the licence to the light,
and like paper money there is imbeded print in background that cant be duplicated by just photo copying someone else's E licence.

da what????
my cheap ass printer is not capable of some fancy shmancy printin' and that shadow print in behind is definitly easy to photocopy as many times as you want
there is however the licence nr that matches your plastic card

When you go online to do your e licence,
its in the instructions before printing it out.
There is a "printer test" portion.
I have mine printed out from on-line,
and my printer printed it properly.
Just saying.
