Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please note the changes to the match schedule below.

Due to the ammount of snow on the range we will be changing some matches to allow us to shoot.

The CFO has authorized the range to be used only on the specified dates listed on this schedule and only up until the end of the June match, after which the remaining modifications should be in place and the range as a whole should be open for general shooting.

PLEASE NOTE: THE RANGE IS NOT OPEN FOR GENERAL SHOOTING only on the specified dates for our matches therefore, we will zero and practice and teach, if required, prior to each match!

Range open at 11am, match will start around 12 noon.

Match Sunday 11 March

Looks like it will warm up by Sunday, NRA200 so we will be able to see the targets over the 3ft of snow :D

The NRA match today, 13 Mar 11, 200m, (40 rounds fired as follows: 10 rnds standing in 10 minutes, 10 rnds kneeling in 10 minutes, 10 rnds sitting in 1 minute and finally 10 rnds prone in 1 minute), was a great success with a total of 19 shooters firing 480 rounds plus whatever they fired during the hour or so prior for zeroing.

We had one junior, one lady and then the rest of us.....high score was 170 and just for the record, while sitting in the bath, I realized that my math sucks and the 127 points I reported for myself should have been 147 firing my M1 Garand.

Thanks to all who attended and thanks to all those who helped, especially Bill for helping out on the range and acting as an RSO for me.

Just for interest, we had 12 AR-15's, 2 Sig Swiss rifles, 1 VZ 858, 1 XCR, 1 SKS and 1 M1 Garand.

Can the other competitors retroactively increase their scores too? :p

Please note, the 12th of June NRA 200m match, wil be held on the 19 if June due to a slight mix up in range dates with the Wild Rose guys.

You guys in Edmonton ever think of coming down to Calgary and shooting a regular APRA service rifle match? We have a full 800 meters, and shoot our Service Rifle right out to 500 like the NSCC! Come on down sometime, the more shooters the better.

900m, but yeah, if anyone from Red Deer/Edmonton wants to shoot NSCC service rifle to 500m, Tac rifle to 900m(kind of like the BC shoot), or CQB, come on out.

I can point you to camping sites nearby if you like.

NSCC, and Tac rifle are at Homestead, CQB is in Lethbridge.
