2012 Blue Ridge Mtn. 3-Gun

Well...

Once again Team Hoser has arrived in one piece at the beautiful Rockcastle Shooting Centre.
'Had a chance to scope out a few of the stages... Eeeeek.

It's gonna be interesting... Lots of looooong range rifle and some very challenging pistol...
All stages are in natural terrain which is a welcomed break for us refugees who only get to play on square ranges at home...

Here's a view looking towards stage 3 from stage two... I love Kentucky

Holy smokes...!

Andy Horner has out done himself again... This match is the toughest we've ever shot.
Stages six was a hurried shutzenfest with pistol through the woods... Uphill
Then a buckshot marathon with no shoots... Running Uphill.
Then after that an uphill running rifle battle with targets 7 yards to 120 yards...

Did I mention this was all.... Uphill?

Probably 150 yards worth of "uphill"

Good thing there were squaddy's around to help carry your gear back to the racks

Actually that stage was pretty easy if you had a bit of endurance.... 120 yard auto-poppers are easy.
It was some other stages with a run with shotgun and pistol just to get your heart rate up to engage flashers and skinny sammy's out past 400 yards....while. Huffin' and puffin'.

All and all another kick-ass three gun at Rockcastle.....
