Going to offer Wildbunch as a second category this year for an extra $5.00 or so? Also with that round count over 4 stages (other than shotgun of course) are you having reloads on the clock, or just in case someone needs a re-shoot?

I just post what the Western Director sends me. Let me see if I can get an answer.

Interesting!
Are you shooting indoors in winter, with a pistol calibre rifle and shotgun etc?
If you are, what kind of backplate do you have.?

Yes, its an indoor, heated range. From memory, its 5/8" RHA plate. Backstop rated for all legal rifle and pistol calibers including buck, bird and slugs, no AP, tracer or incendiary allowed.

At Range Burlington, good people, lots of fun, the food is excellent and yes, it is indoor, but heating is a relative term. Bring your winter woolies.

Here's the reply I got to your question (paraphrased by me):

"...You may shoot these western matches in the Wild Bunch or any other SASS category you choose but there is no double dipping (shooting the stages twice in two different categories) or extra charges..."

and

Also with that round count over 4 stages (other than shotgun of course) are you having reloads on the clock, or just in case someone needs a re-shoot?

...The stage round count will not be increased for those shooting in the Wild Bunch category. The 1911 with two mags. each loaded with five rounds is loaded with the first magazine under the supervision of the RO before the stage begins. It is reloaded with the second magazine as the stage requires on the clock. The '97 shotgun can be loaded with the number of shotgun rounds called for in the stage - usually four, possibly six....."

Very familiar with Wild Bunch. I spoke with Bad Penny on Saturday at the match.

And my other point.
There will be 4 stages in the course of fire.
Ammunition and Ammunition requirement:
Ammo: 50 rounds pistol, 50 rounds rifle and 25 rounds shotgun

4 stages would be: 40 rounds pistol, 40 rounds rifle, and 16+ shotgun usually. This is why I asked if the extra 10 pistol rounds, extra 10 rifle rounds and extra shotgun rounds were to be brought in the case of a re-shoot being required, or if some stages were going to have reloads on the clock for pistol and rifle. Already figured this out when speaking with Mr. Penny.

We hope to be able to get out to the refrigerator for the matches this year.
