Agreed! Four clubs now offering speed steel in the lower mainland is awesome!

Thompson, Mission, PoCo and Abbotsford!!

I would really like to see someone offer a Pro Am style steel shoot. We always seem to be about 10 years behind what they offer down south - lets hope we can get a Pro Am shoot going here sooner. Brad you should try and convince the powers that be at Mission (JG) to get one of these going.

Not for speed steel. Not sure about Pro Am, I don't think any club in Canada shoots Pro Am steel matches.

Ok, I'll tell my friends about these events. My palms are sweating right now just thinking about shooting steel again....something I haven't done in 19 yrs.:D\Thanks

May have to bring 500 rounds and a red-dotted 686 to even finish the course:redface:

You won't be alone with your 686! There is one guy who shoots steel at Mission who's very good with his wheelgun.

Wheel guns and ProAm

Make sure those wheel guns hold 8 rounds. I know I would need the extra shots.

As for the ProAM. We are all amateurs. The Pro's in a ProAm shoot for money and the win. The Amatures shoot for a prize table. Too much competition for me.

I shoot steel for the Fun, Hanging out with my friends, Hearing the CLANG of lead hitting steel, The ribbing I get for missing, The ribbing I give when every body else misses and Pounding lots of rounds down range fast.

It is going on 5 years we have been having the match at Mission. We have had lots of fun. Especially when a simple round count for the match is 150rnds, Then it turns into a 450rnd match. I will never forget that one.
Too Funny.

These matches are great for every one. No holster course. Just bring lots of mags and ammo and your set. I have seen a 10yr old girl out shoot adults with her 10/22.

I am really looking forward to seeing the fun and memories TMSA has to offer.

You can shoot Pro Am for fun too, a lot of clubs down south hold Pro Am style shoots. You could probably manage 5 stages at Mission, or if the club acquired some more land push it to 8. 30-40 targets per stage, with par times - it is the real deal. You could hold an annual championship once a year over a 3 day long weekend. It would be great revenue for the club.

Great Match

Hey Guys,

The TMSA guys put on an awesome match. Great steel, Great Guys, Great Stages, and Great Weather for March.

I am writing this before I see the results because I will probally be complaining that Tim S. beat me again.

The next match is too far away. Thank You goes to the TMSA Crew.

I look forward to the next one.

What brad said. Was a lot of fun even if I did shoot like a sack of rotten ass. It's good to see so much going on despite the fact that it's march and the weather could be better. Can't wait for summer!
