2014 SHOT SHOW: 50 years of HK MP5

I had no idea that the HK MP5 sub-machinegun is 50 years old now. Or that it has gone through so many design changes.
At the well stocked HK booth, there was a display case with various versions from years past.
Sorry about the glare and poor colour. They were all housed in a glass cabinet. No chance of laying them on the carpet to photograph!





This was cool, a cutaway version for training.

MP5 is one of my all time favorite SMG. I wish we had access to a semi-auto version; too bad they're all prohibs...

CX4? Na, I think the HK USC / UMP or the Famae SAF / Mini SAF might be closer to the MP5 than the CX4.

My all time favorite SMG. Sucks so bad that we can't be trusted with one, even semi auto. She looks pretty good for being 50 years old though.
