Daniel Defence's new M-lok handguards are pretty slick. They are stilling using the proven and robust attachment system that doesn't directly torque on the barrel nut.

12.5" carbine, with MFR-XS and LAW folding stock adaptor. Not a regular item.

Those are sweet! I love slim handguards, especially when they have rock solid mounting systems. Sure wish my Larue was that slim, but I won't kick it out of my safe because it's fat.
