Really tough match that was just a fight to survive. Can't believe I got second by less than 1% again :bangHead: second year in a row.

Good shooting! Thanks for posting. I wish you the best for next year, to find those few points you're looking for. :)

This is my first year of IPSC, (have done club matches in the past), and I found the match to be very challenging, but I loved it! I thought the designers did a great job of making a challenging collection of stages for us. I'm looking forward to more great matches in the future.

Congrats on your finish, sucks you missed 1st by so little.

I'm sure they were challenging target presentations but those stages looked kinda boring.
Didn't seem to have much flow and looked like no opportunities to really push and shoot on the move.
Everything was pretty much stand and shoot.

Not really, this was one of the best matches that I have shot in a long time(a fellow seasoned shooter visiting from Sask agreed with this).Really challenging stages which could have been done in a number of ways,so you had to have a good plan beforehand and think on the move.It was a nice change from the run and gun hoser type of stages that some matches have(although there were one or two of these stages as well).I think that the reason it appears to you that there was no flow and shooting on the move is that a lot of the targets were a fair distance away, partials or covered by no shoots(try shooting a double moving targets covered by a no shoot from 18 metres or so on the move).I think you have had to be there to appreciate the quality of this match, the organisers did a great job.

Yep, I can hit double alpha at quite a good pace on an open target at 10 yards so if I can shoot something on the move I will. Problem was, there were very few of those targets. Ironically the stage where my camera cut out and the part where my camera guy filmed the empty chair were where I was shooting on the move. This was very much not a hoser match.

Nope, quite a few of my stage plans relied on me having 10 round mags. I also shot major for half a season a couple years ago and for some reason it didn't work for me. I still need more practice/testing with major to rule it out, but minor works better for me so far.

We have some nice stats available in BC now, and they say I shot 89% of points in minor and 92% of points in major (I had 54 C and 6D out of 321 scored shots). I think I made up 3% of points with the times saved on reloads.
