I took a quick look at what was new with Bushnell scopes. Most emphasis was put on two families. One, their tactical lines (DMR 2, LRTS, and SMRS); and a new "Trophy Extreme" line.

Again, I'm no tactical specialist (quite the contrary), but apparently some changes were made to some tactical models so I thought it may be of interest to mention. New features listed: New G3 illuminated reticle on the DMR 2 (LRTS had it already I believe); throw levers for magification adjustment; and "T-Lok" locking target turrets.

Bushnell is also introducing this year a whole new series of scopes under the "Trophy Extreme" name. I asked one of the reps if, price-wise, and quality-wise, these were going to fit between the regular Trophy line and the Elite line; that is the intention. From what I see, the main difference with the regular Trophy line is the tube size; 30mm for all the Extreme models. Sizes range from 2.5-10x44 up to 6-24x50.

I like the Xtreme 6-24 I just put on my wifes 243.

I would also like to get one of the new Tactical Elites, I like the locking turrets and the throw handle.
Looks like the throw lever is removable also

I have to agree, that throw arm is a nice addition.

wonder what their pricing will come out...or how long it will take for that 'innovation' to get to some of their lower lines. :yingyang:

I do like them !
Been eye balling one of the new Extremes for my new Browning A Bolt 243.
Either the 2.5-10 x 44 or the 4-16 x 44.

Wonder if the rainguard feature will ever be added down the road ? Probably not at the price points they're at.
