2020 moose hunt

Hey how much Roughly, would you guys spend on a Hunting Trip for the Week or 10 days You hunt for, if you Drew a moose tag???

out of curiosity?

i know its different, but i might know some real affordable hunting for some of you guys who miss out this year or next year etc.... an im not a guide or outfitter selling nothing, just Your fees to the Govt to hunt..

pending the answers of some of you guys

Didn't draw moose (or elk) so I'll OTC moose and/or elk instead.

Depends on what it is, for me, I wouldn't pay much, or anything, for a hunt like moose as I can hunt them by draw or OTC fairly easily. That being said, I would happily pay for different hunts depending on which game it is. For something like an elk I'd pay semi-guided/drop-in fees of up to 2500$. For anything like bison, goat or sheep (sheep is wishfull thinking), I'd pay up to 8000$ if timing is right and it would have to be a heck of a trip. These would be North-American hunts where I can do most of the travelling by road and some air. I honestly wouldn't know what I would pay for an international trip, TBH, Australia and NZ look like the only international destinations I would hunt and going through the hurdles of getting my rifles there and meat/trophy back, sounds like a pain in the but so the price would definitely have to be right.

I own my cabin in moose/elk country already. And I already own the quad and side by side. So I would say fuel, food, tags, bottle or two of rum and maybe a new stand, blind, calls etc. My costs would be about $1500 and thats with +/- $300 cut and wrap bill on an elk or moose.

My only problem is my cabin is 750km from my house. So I am a tank of fuel each way, and on average I would make 6 trips a year to the cabin between two scouting/hanging camera trips and 2 full week hunting trips and 2 long weekend hunting trips.

But its worth the drive in the end.

FYI: I cook, clean, we can take my truck and gas, have stunning good looks and a positive attitude. :d

Both myself and a buddy went in as individuals for 18b. Myself pool 1 bull, my buddy pool 2 cow. There seems to be a higher amount of extra tags. Maybe due to the circumstances there was less applications this year.
