New for 2020 - The SPRA will host a Varmint/Tactical/Production Class - Muzzle Breaks
can be used at all matches except for the Westerns. The new class will run on a
separate dedicated relay or a split relay with barriers between them and the regular FClass
shooters. Any caliber can be run from .223 up to the 30 Cal magnums.
For new shooters the standard gear you need to start is:
1) Bi-Pod or Front Rest - Any style of bipod will work as long as it is sturdy and can
attach securely to your rifle. Front rests can be of any design as long as they are
adjustable and stable.
2) Shooting Mat - these can be store bought IE) Cabela’s, or something homemade.
(For a first shoot you may be able to borrow a mat from another shooter)
3) Rear Bag - any style will work as long as it pairs up with your rear stock
4) Clip Board & Pens- simple wooden clipboard or binder to hold scorecard
5) Tablet with Google Chrome Loaded - SPRA uses electronic targets for scoring (For a
first match we have a couple of spares but it is first come first served)
6) Ammo - For a 1 day shoot you should bring 80-100 rounds
Extras but not critical:
Wood Blocks for front and rear in case you need extra elevation - usually small pieces
of 3/4"plywood - can be covered in carpet if you want
Load Data for your hand loads and velocities if you have them
Zero Data for 100yds
Rain Gear
Bolt Flags - can be purchased for minimal cost from SPRA
Water & Lunch
Breakfast will now be available each Saturday and Sunday at the SPRA Clubhouse.
Options will rotate from day to day, all proceeds are donated to the SPRA for range
improvements
1)- Bacon & Eggs, Rye Toast, Coffee or Tea
2)- Pancakes and Sausages, Coffee or Tea
3) -French Toast & Bacon, Coffee or Tea
Supper will now be available each Saturday evening. Each match will have a different
meal theme, all proceeds are donated to the SPRA for range improvements
Ex) Steak Night, Ukrainian Night, Mexican Night, Poutine/Wing Night etc.
Menu and Price will be posted before each match
Camping - $10 night except Western's which are $20 per night
Practice Day Fee - $10 (Includes junior firing with parent at a match but not competing)
