The Cabin Fever Challenge is a modern postal match that requires the competitor to demonstrate four unsupported shooting positions with quick reloads (timed).
Many Gun Clubs have restricted the use of their facilities for competition due to COVID-19 so CFC2021 might be perfect solution to that problem.

The latest iteration of the Cabin Fever Challenge RULES has been released and there are some minor rule variations.
Please be apprised that links to the ROLE OF RECORDS (excel file containing scores from 2014 - 2020) and the official match target (pdf) are available within the rule set.

The CFC2021 match introduction and safety briefing video will be presented by 2021 Event Official OreGear on YouTube.
The Cabin Fever Challenge is not for profit, led by a team of volunteers and there is no fee to enter.

CLASSES

Class 1 Vintage / Original: VZ-58 (stock), M305, M1A, AG42, VZ-52/57, SKS / M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, SAFN, AK47 (stock), etc

Class 2 Modern / Unlimited: BCL-102 / Stag-10 / WK180 / AR15 / TAVOR / Swiss Arms / XCR / FAMAE 542 / T97 / SL8 / TRICKED OUT AK47 / VZ58 / SKS / Modded or Tricked Out Vintage Rifles

Class 3 Manually Operated Repeating: Bolt / Lever / Pump

Class 4 Single Shots: Break Actions / Falling Blocks

Class 5 Muzzle Loaders only

The majority of class 1 and 2 are prohibited at this point. That's just sad.

I think the Type 81 has been accepted into class 1 vintage division despite being a modern production rifle. If using the LMG model you may not use the bipod.

Nicely put together video. I went to the range today to pre-practice for the CFC2021, and discovered at least 2 rifles that I own that I definitely won't be using... :p

Sweet, I'm in! For next year I think there should be a PCC division too. Hitting paper at 100 quickly off hand is pretty tough with 9mm, 40, 357, etc (or maybe I just suck hahaha).

2018s top score was with a JRC in 9mm. Last year a fella scored a whopping 142 with a Tavor chambered in 9mm !

Moral of the story never underestimate a PCC haha.

A PCC division is something to be considered... if the modern or vintage division becomes quite populated with PCCs and submachine guns i could see a special category being implemented in the future.

Well, I tried my first ever entry yesterday. I learned a lot, mainly that I REALLY need to work on my standing shooting since I got 0/5 in the first position. I ended up getting 10 hits on target (out of the 20) in a time of 108 seconds for a score of 46. This is definitely an event I look forward to participating in again next year (or maybe a different class later this year?). I normally dislike winter a lot, but this gave me an excuse to get out of the house. Also, the range is nice and empty mid-week at the end of January. Thanks again to the hosts and volunteers

Does one need to be nominated to participate or can one just submit and entry? I might fire up my MkII* Snider Long Rifle for this.

Nope. Challenge is open to all.

If u want to submit and be tallied "officially" in the final scores, be sure to familiarize urself with the rules posted earlier.

Seems the cold snap in the Rockies is set to break in a few days. Just bumping this thread so more people see it and enter. I may try another class next set off
