This year's SASS Eastern Canadian Regionals is fast approaching. Wild Bunch competition starts: Thursday, July 13...through Friday July 14th. Cowboy Action: Saturday July 15th, through Sunday July 16th. Side matches: Friday, July 14. This event is already shaping up to be a good one.

If not already signed up, there`s still plenty of time to register and get in on the action.

Host: Crumlin Sportsmans Association gun club. London, Ontario. Full information: including registration and contact information, is available on the OSASF website.

Note: Though this is a major SASS-sanctioned event, the organizers have agreed to open up the competition to non-SASS members, as well. Those participating will not be eligible for awards but, still welcome to compete in and experience a major Cowboy Action shooting event. All SASS rules, including dress code will still apply.

See you there.

Thanks for the kind words, Forty Creek Bob.

A shout out to all our fellow cowpokes and cowgals in western Canada: The 2022 SASS Western Canadian Regional Cowboy Action Championship....the "Shootout at Bounty Gulch" is fast approaching, too. Hosted by the fine folks at the Saskatoon Muzzle Loading Club. Located a few minutes west of Saskatoon.

This event runs from August 3 to 6. Expect a lot of fast and exciting action. A great social event for the entire family, too. Always a great time.

My wife and I are already registered!

The weather looks like it will be perfect for watching the cowboy shooting action in London this week.

I look forward to getting to the Crumlin Club on Saturday.

stewbud: You're in for a great time. The weather looks perfect. Plus, some of eastern Canada's best cowboy action competitors will be in action, Saturday and Sunday. Have shooters all the way from the Maritimes, Quebec, eastern Ontario. Plus a lot of local talent. Was there today for Day 1 of the Wild Bunch competition. Wasn't competing myself....but got to see some great shooting and a solid bunch of competitors.

Enjoy!

The SASS Eastern Canadian Championships are now in the bag. The weather might have been hot and sunny....but that didn't seem to wilt the competitors' spirits, any.

One very notable result from the Wild Bunch match: One shooter recorded a clean score! An exceptionally rare event....according to Co-Match Director: "Serenity"

To anyone involved in either Cowboy Action or Wild Bunch competition, hers is a very familiar name. So, when Serenity revealed that she knew of only one or maybe two, other shooters who had ever accomplished such a feat in this demanding shooting sport....that was a perfect cap to a great four day event.

To all of our friends from all over Ontario, Quebec and as far away as the Maritimes: Thank you! for making the 2022 Eastern Canadian Championships such a success!

Hope to see all of you again, next year.

Garand: They certainly are. Excellent ambassadors for the sport, too. Really enjoyed our conversations over the past week, when time permitted. Since everyone involved in the event was pretty busy, these moments were a refreshing break.

Hope you and the missus shoot well and have a great time(As I know you will), at Bounty Gulch.
