^awesome! Hope you post some pics! Still too much snow/wet fields where I like to hunt, but if April starts sunny and dry...should only be a few weeks.

Off topic...you ever hit the Penticton gun show? It's this weekend, I'm going to make the drive in, never been and wondering if it's worthwhile or not.
I've had my fill of old guys at tables with $1300 jungle carbines :)

Yeah, really wasn't worth the trip...
Prices were as expected, stock was lean. Good turnout though, it was packed and quite the lineup.

To think that back in the day, the gun shows and "gun digest" were my internet.

How is the Kamloops show generally? 30 tables with piles of $1200 lee enfields too? ;)
 
Early May Marmot report , out on the range Weds.
plenty of the little phvkers & fast.

No pics to show but the population is reduced
by 4 within 2 hrs. shooting.

Plenty of Raptors around cause these Marmots to be quite wary.

Marmots are a royal PITA. They top even all the coyotes we have around here on the annoying pest scale. If you own anything nice in BC, there's a marmot looking to wreck it. I bought the hornet rifle just for them.

Agreed! My BRNO FOX II in Hornet is my go to marmot rifle. WMR for musk rat and LR for the rest.
 
The season of the Furry Lawn Mower is over , quite productive
tho we don't have a count the numbers are down from last year.

One reason , Population was down this year & that is a good thing.

Thanks for the update skwerl. Found the 2023 groundhog numbers lower than I'd ever seen them since I've been hunting them. (10 years or so) Burned allot of gas trying to make myself believe that wasn't the case. lol More fishing/more riding this past summer, and got to pop a few gophers on my family trip to AB. No complaints here.
