Stopped at the Federal/CCI ammo booth and sifted through the reams of new pistol and home defense rounds to check out a new rim fire round and two new hunting rounds.

CCI Clean-22 offers a couple options for a special polymer coated bullet that is intended to reduce copper and lead fouling without leaving a residue

The next is Federal Hammer Down line of ammo specifically designed for smooth feeding for lever action guns.

Last one is ELD-X high ballistic coefficient hunting round for a variety of cartridges.

Blue sub-sonic @1070 is not new (934CC)

The Hyper Velocity 954CC is new.

Thank you for your useless observations.

Maybe it’s useless to you but 934CC is on that board showed has new. So if not new, show me one dealer in Canada that had it for sale.
Anything at the shot show take months to show up in Canada if ever.
So from there you know where to go with your know it all comment.

CCI clean has been out of stock for so long in Canada most retailers have removed it m their websites, however a quick google search will still yield 934CC as out-of-stock.

The CCI clean ammo #934CC is not new, it has been available for a few years.

I normally carry it in my gun shop, but currently is out of stock.

Like Squadron303 stated, several Canadian dealers have also carried this ammo.

HOPE Eldx have improved. .308 190gr into moose shoulder XPLODED..8" PENETRATION.both bullets. 3rd shot base of skull worked.

The Hornady ELD-X is an awesome bullet, any bullet can fail in the field, it doesn't matter who made it.

Correct shot placement is the key to success, we all know that.

It sounds like your shot was good, unfortunately bullets occasionally fail.......:(

I have sworn off of them in another caliber for a similar reason. They seem to have mixed up a target bullet for a hunting bullet. I am sticking with Nosler and Barnes myself.

The stories I hear at my gun counter are colossal to say the least.

Some of my customers use the Hornady ELD-M (match bullets) for hunting, I suggest not to do this, yet they do it with great success. (I do not recommend this)

Others have had failures in Nosler Accubonds and Berger hunting bullets.

Like I said earlier, any and all bullets can fail in the field. Shot placement is critical.

I have not had any bullet fail in the field as of yet.

Some of the stories I hear are difficult to believe, but who knows, right!.......:)

Bullet loyalty is huge among the hunting public.......:)
