In 2023, Burris Optics broke through the ballistic compensation barrier in hunting rifle scopes with the introduction of the technologically advanced yet simple-to-use Veracity PH. Now, for 2025, that innovative performance has taken a massive leap forward and made its way into the company’s tactical line with the all-new XTR PS (Precision Shooter) rifle scope.

Developed for competitive and long-range tactical shooters, the new XTR PS combines Burris’ micro-adjustable PĒK (Programmable Elevation Knob) technology and an advanced onboard HUD data center with the rugged, one-piece 34mm main tube chassis and precision optics engineering that the XTR series is known for. Powered by the BurrisConnect ballistics app, the XTR PS establishes a new benchmark in performance and accuracy.

The Burris PĒK system revolutionizes elevation adjustment with its click less turret and digital position sensor, delivering ultra-fast and precise performance. Unlike conventional turrets, the PĒK achieves an unparalleled 1/30 MIL adjustment accuracy, far surpassing the coarser 1/4 or 1/8 MOA and 1/10 MIL standards of most scopes. This advanced system enables long-range shooters to achieve pinpoint bullet drop compensation, extending accuracy and performance beyond traditional competition and tactical optics.

The XTR PS HUD delivers eight data zones, providing essential firing solution information at a glance. Central to the display is the elevation position, or "dial-to-distance," which is expressed in yards, meters, or MIL. By simply ranging the target distance and rotating the elevation knob to match, shooters can eliminate complex on-the-fly BDC calculations, reliance on dope cards, and the risk of dialing errors. The PĒK system further enhances accuracy with a single rotation offering over 19 MILs of adjustment.

Among the HUD’s additional features are wind hold, unit of measure, battery meter, digital rifle scope level, wind direction, wind speed, density altitude, and angle compensation. New for competition shooters, an innovative countdown timer has been added, ensuring precise time management during matches where every second counts. This feature is prominently displayed, making it an indispensable tool for staying on track under pressure.

Burris engineers have seamlessly integrated the XTR PS with the BurrisConnect app, allowing users to create and upload custom ballistic profiles directly from their mobile devices. Once stored locally, these profiles enable the system to operate independently of the app, ensuring uninterrupted performance in the field. Each ballistic profile includes over 20 density altitude curves, giving shooters the flexibility to adapt to changing environmental conditions. These curves can be selected directly on the scope using its intuitive onboard controls, providing precision and ease of use in any setting.

Offered in 3-18x50 and 5.5-30x56 magnification ranges, the XTR PS comes with additional key features to ensure maximum performance for any shooting task or environment. These include the “Christmas tree style” Burris SCR 2™ illuminated FFP reticle in dual-color (red/green), zero click stop adjustment knob, side focus parallax adjustment, ED glass for exceptional clarity and image fidelity, index-matched, Hi-Lume® multi-coated lenses, and a single-piece milled 6061-T6 aluminum housing. The soft-touch side array buttons located outboard of the parallax adjustment knob are designed for ergonomic menu operation.

Fifty years ago, Don Burris introduced a riflescope that redefined hunting optics in the U.S. To commemorate this milestone, Burris Optics proudly unveils the completely redesigned fifth-generation Fullfield riflescope, blending a legacy of excellence with cutting-edge innovation.

Reimagined from the ground up, the new Fullfield riflescopes preserve the wide viewing field and exceptional optical clarity that made previous generations a staple among hunters. This latest iteration delivers a modern design, enhanced features, and advanced technologies like the new Burris Knob Synergy System, equipping hunters and shooters to tackle today’s most demanding challenges.

Aligned with Burris’ commitment to compact and lightweight designs, the new Fullfield optics are shorter and lighter than their predecessors, enhancing balance and maneuverability while reducing fatigue—perfect for long waits in the field. The fifth-generation Fullfield boasts a modern aesthetic highlighted by the new Burris red accent ring and refined ergonomics. High-relief knurling on the power ring and adjustment knobs ensures a secure grip and smooth operation, while the precision-engineered profile showcases the meticulous craftsmanship built into every riflescope.

Optical clarity and maximum light transmission are essential qualities for any serious optic, and the new Fullfield delivers. Multi-coated lenses combine with high-performance glass to minimize glare and boost low-light visibility through the one-inch tube body. This allows a clean, crisp downrange view with good contrast and color fidelity that is critical to identifying targets in murky light environments.

Building on the Fullfield’s trusted rear focal plane design, this latest generation offers a diverse range of reticle options to suit every shooter’s needs. From the classic Plex-style duplex reticle to illuminated reticles and advanced ballistic options like the Burris Ballistic E3, the Fullfield delivers versatility and precision for any scenario.

The Fullfield is the first Burris optic to feature the innovative Knob Synergy System, a universal elevation adjustment solution that offers unmatched versatility. This system allows users to upgrade their scopes by seamlessly switching between zero click stop-enabled Advanced Capped and Advanced Exposed elevation adjustment knobs. Additionally, all Fullfield scopes are now compatible with custom laser-engraved ballistic knobs from Burris, providing tailored precision for every shooting scenario.

The next-generation Fullfield riflescopes launch with six optical ranges in 15 distinct models. This broad range of model configurations is intended to ensure magnification and reticle diversity to meet both domestic and global market demands. The debut Fullfield models include:
• 2-8x35mm
• 2.5-10x42mm
• 3-12x42mm
• 3-12x56mm
• 4-16x50mm
• 6-24x50mm

Burris Optics is committed to carrying forward the legacy of engineering excellence that Don Burris established with the original Fullfield riflescope 50 years ago. The new Fullfield line continues this tradition by delivering class-leading features and performance, giving hunters around the world the reliability and precision they demand

Nice effort, missed the mark on shake awake like the Steiner MPS.

New for 2025, Burris has released a fully enclosed version of the long-running FastFire red dot series. The new FastFire E will be available with a red or green reticle, and fits the ACRO footprint
