After doing some homework I found a real nice spot full of varmints and waited till today to go out. Day was perfect, no wind, sunny at +20. Loaded a bunch of 32gr. Sierra Blitzkings comming out of the pipe near 4000fps and prepared myself for "WAR":50cal:

First spot I hit was a real jackpot as I hammered six jackrabbits with out even moving from a high side of a rocky cattle pasture. I have never seen so many jack rabbits in one small area??? I walked about 100 yards and popped another big jack and shot a few gophers.

After taking a break to clean my rifle and have lunch I headed to my #1 gopher spot. All I can say is it was lousy with gophers, literally hundreds. I ran out of shooting light or else I would have run out of ammo. My next trip I will have a .22 as a close range killer its just too expensive to use the .204 for every gopher you see.

This was my last hunt with the Remington LVSF (bunk boltface) its going to be exchanged for a Tikka T3 Varmint, hopefully it will shoot as well as this one.

For those select CGN'ers comming to Sask for the gopher shoot, bring lots of ammo, a camera and prepare for a slaughter :D

Cheers!!

Looking at those photos, I am reminded why a fellow might want to use a 32-20 if he wants to save meat.;)
