Hi guys.
I finally got time to go run a ladder test on my 204.
39g blitzkings and H4895
26.8g - 28.6g 10 rounds .2g increments
I did the test at 350yds.
I shot a group with factory 32g V-max.
To make sure on paper
I have the gun dialed in 1.5” high at 100yds
Shot a 3” 5shot group.
5” low.
My handloads 27.6,27.8,28.0 and 28.2g loads
All landed in a 1.5” group on the test.
To my surprise this group landed only 1” low is POA.
I don’t have a crony. These loads are at the high end of published data. (Over max in some manuals)
I ran up to 28.6g (which fills up the case neck)
No visible pressure signs.
Bolts not stiff or sticky.
Why would these sit 4” higher than factory 32g V-max?
I have ran the data on a ballistics calculator.
(Hypothetical velocity’s) it’s dosnt line up?
Any advice?
