20g slug gun

Would a 20g slug gun (rifled barrel) of course, be a good deer hunting choice? Or am I better off with my .303. I'm comfortable and acurate with both but not much experience deer hunting. We'll be hunting in dense wooded areas. I love the feel of the 20g. It's nice and light. Any advice on the 20g??

I prefer a rifle, but slug guns are handy in the brush for sure. 20ga has a smaller projectile, and generally shoots flatter, with less recoil.
