Anyone have a 303Br load using a 215gr bullet that they'd like to share? 215gr loads are a little hard to come by but I did find one in Ken Waters Pet Loads manual. I'm planning on using IMR 4320 and/or IMR 4350 and I see the load Ken Waters shows is 46grs of IMR 4350. I think that may be a little warm considering the Hornady manual shows a load of 44.6grs of IMR 4350 using a 174gr RN. I was thinking I'd start out around 40grs or 42grs but was wondering what the experience of others might be.

johnn, this was my favorite load in my Jungle carbine, bear in mind that this was a safe load in my rifle and might not be safe in yours so proceed with caution. The loads were chronographed 10' from the muzzle with a chrony. Accuracy was at 100 yds fired with OPEN SIGHTS!

Rifle: Enfield Jungle Carbine, 18.5" barrel length.
Powder: IMR 4895, 36 to 40.0 gr.
Primer: Fed. 210
bullet: 215 gr KKSP IVI/CIL
Case: WW
3 shot groups avg. 2-2.5"
Velocity with 39.5 gr. 2100 fps avg.
40.0 gr. 2180 fps avg.
Easy extraction, moderate recoil, good feeding.
Enjoy

Where did you get your bullets? Quite interested. I have an 1898 LEC and it shoots 180's to 3" at 100, but shoots 215's to 1.5". Have not been able to get any in many years.

I have also found 220 grain to be very acurate in the 30-06, but not many people try them.

I do.
I have also used them in my SKS for a short, bear-defense round. Very accurate, lots of punch at 15-20 yds.
If I am hunting Moose, I tend to use the heavier load for over 250 yds in my 06.
