Been wanting an intermediary gopher round, something between the .22LR and my .223Rem. Have had some 17 HMR guns before, and while they work great I have always been a sucker for something unique and different. Was looking at rifles chambered in 22 Hornet then saw a 218 Bee on the EE. Started corresponding with the seller and then checked my local CO-OP hardware.

Bought the three boxes (50 round count) that they had, then closed the deal on the EE.

I might have overpaid, but was thrilled to find this ammo local at any price.

Will get some dies and be good for summer.

You bawt a bugzs shewter..................
Yer gonna have some fun with it.
Buddy has one and it's fun tuh wartch'im pownd dem goferzs.

Gartzs a head start awn brass anyways.

Supply and demand...

Not much supply and demand is surpassed by other choices.

What did you buy in the EE ?

I know of someone who shot lots of Fallow deer on Sydney Island with that caliber, just dont know the choice of factory fodder he used.

Look forward to your results and as that chap from Loogie Lk says you have a start on brass.

You will now understand the joys of shooting something odd, you will go to more gun shows now and watch out for any components you see, welcome to the very costly and extremely addictive club :D

No you did not over pay. When I have seen ammo for the Bee it’s pricey! But still cheaper than the EE!

Some day I hope to add one to my collection.

That is the exact same price I paid for a box of Winchester 25-20 rounds around four years ago, same case just necked up to 25 cal, primarily to get the brass. I don't think you overpaid. 218 Bee doesn't exactly jump off the shelf in most of the gunshops I've been to so now you have a good start for reloading if you go that route. Neat chambering, any chance of us seeing a photo or two of your new rifle?

I told the seller to hold off on shipping until the new year.

Will be heading south for the holidays in a few days so will wait until then.

I certainly will post some pics when I get it.

Overpay? Nope, you paid what you had to, to get what you wanted.

Sometimes you just gotta smile and nod, and not spend a bunch more time than that on it.

More capable than the Hornet. If you bought a bolt and reload it is an amazing little round. I have a lever, so flat nose or single shot if I do spire points. You dint overpay....remember that's for 50 rounds. Enjoy!
