Anyone use this combo? Any favorite loads?
Just finishing up my newest obsession, and will be throwing lead shortly... :)

Reverse engineering .........................................................a 75gr bullet in a .250-3000.....wish they made an 85gr Partition for that classic.

In a 9 twist Savage, I shot 75gr Amax w/ H4350. Excellent accuracy, and speeds from the 26" barrel were in the 3300 fps range. If I was loading 75's in a 22-250 today, I'd be trying RL16, Ramshot Hunter, Win760/H414, and H4350 & IMR 4350

Sako 75 with a JC custom 1:9"...

I have some loaded with H4831sc to try first. Have lots of H4350 as well if needed...

found my load notes for the 26" Savage 9 twist

75 gr. - Hornady Amax @ 2.55”, 35.8grs H4350, F215M ~ 3300fps

I used to use the old Hornady BTHP Match in a 1-10 Gaillard barrel. Killed a pile
of coyotes with it, shot the barrel out, set the barrel back the entire chambers worth and shot it out again. Don't remember the charge anymore but do remember it was 4064 and a CCI benchrest primer.

At 1-10 the rifling was right at the verge . It would stabilize the BTHP Match but wouldn't keep some other heavy bullets on paper or point on.
