What my tikka 22 250 groups best .5 inch at 100 yards great for factory ammo was thinkin using them this winter for coyotes maybe wolves. Think they explode at close distance but how well the bullet holds together past 100 yards ?

Never tried them but I bought a couple boxes of Federal V Shok 55 gr Nosler Ballistic tips and after sighting in and killing a couple coyotes I shelved them. They were absolutely destructive almost cutting 2 coyotes in two at both 100 and 200 yards. As well my rifle groups better with the little 45 gr JHP Winchester white box ammo and they don't exit even inside of 100 yards. Kind of a bonus if you want a hide.

I am a huge fan of them in my .223. Group very well, shoot flat due to design and open quickly in every Coyote I have taken with them. I would recommend!

I have shot many past 100 yds and the still open quickly and retain weight well.

I have used them for six prairie dog hunts in South Dakota. Most shots from 200-400 yds. Some longer. Very destructive usually creating a cloud of red mist. Would reco them.
