22-250 small primer?

I just bought a 22-250 barrel for my steven's .308. I also did a trade for a lee press/loading manual (#7 manual) and extra's.

Bought some .224 55 sp bullet's..... Made a trade for some of my .308 ammo for 160 rounds of factory 22-250.

Also bought die's for my .308 now just need a set for 22-250.

With all that said and done in the last 2 day's (all EE deals) and none of it infront of me (all waiting to be shipped)

I want to buy some powder and primer's now while there in stock somwhere. I found 4895 (my second choice) local and will be buying it today. The only thing i don't know is if a 22-250 use's small rifle primer's.

I've never reloaded before but have been doing a ton of reading. I'm sure once my reloading manual show's up with my press it will help but for now i'm stuck on the primer thing.

Thank's for the help. Now i just need to order my barrel nut wrench, die's and maybe some go/no gauges.

22-250 uses a large rifle primer.

Perfect! Now i can use the same primer's for both gun's. I was guessing because it was a small caliber it would use a small primer. I'll be alot happier not having to have 2 different primer's around. Thanks for the quick reply.
