Anyone try the hornady 50 grain .22-250 superformance ammo? Thoughts and opinions? I grabbed a box to play with at the range (hopefully tomorrow). I usually run whinchester white box 45 grain JHPs so I'm curious how they'll compare. Ballistics on the boxes show the hornady should be a little flatter shooting and the 5 extra grains bullet weight should hit pretty decent. If the gun likes em I wonder how the polymer tip will perform on coyotes vs the JHP.

I've ran a couple of boxes. Only on targets and golf balls so far ... no yotes yet. I shoot consistent groups with my Savage using them. My experience has been positive so I'd give them a like.Certainly keep the barrel warm!

Found the Win 45 grn HP to have a flyer open up a five shot group in my Weatherby , 1-14 twist. Loaded up some of the 50 grn VMAX to 3760 fps and .563 groups

I get 4000+fps out of the factory white box but only around 1" groups. Rifle is a BRNO 601 1-12 twist.

First impression is pretty solid...pulled one (not sure about the low shot, that might have been me). I'll have a better feel when I'm not in a rush. I'm looking forward to trying them out on the 250 yard range.
