I have a lee case length gauge, shell holder, pilot gauge and I have trimmed up some of my brass but it seems that I have trimmed them a bit too short. I would have thought my pilot gauge would have trimmed the brass to the correct length. My brass after trimming for my 22-250 was about 1.880 inches, give or take a thousandth of an inch. In my nosler book the length should be 1.912 inches. Does this small difference matter if I am consistently getting the 1.88 inches?

No its ok, mine does the same thing. It will still work fine and you should get about 3 loadings before trimming again on a medium/hot load.
