Does any company make the .22-250 with a twist faster than 1 in 14. While mine will stabilize a Sierra 60 grain HP, it will not work with the 63 grain. Do I have to wait until it is rebarrelled?

It baffles me that the makers have not seen the light. I would have thought Savage would have switched to a faster twist by now.

Is there a downside to having more twist?
Is there such a thing as "too much" twist?
Could that be why they don't go to a higher twist rate?
Just wondering.

I think there is a bit of downside. I think the most accurate bullets are those that are just nicely stabalized.
However, some rifle authorities, including the late Jack O'Connor, didn't think a fair bit of too much twist hurt a thing.
