Looking to find some 22-250 40gr. V-MAX for a buddy. So far all the internet sages say "Good Luck!", which I'm starting to believe. I know Hornady had a reputation years ago about only focusing production on varying calibers at a time, or over a period. Not sure if this is still the case. Thoughts/Insights?

As of this moment "22-250 40gr. V-MAX" isn't to be found on the Hornady website, but it does show both 35gr NTX and 50gr V-MAX.
Are you certain that "22-250 40gr. V-MAX" is what you want? Have you got a product number, or a UPC?

Here is everything Hornady currently lists on their website in 22-250. As Wendell said, no 40gr Vmax.
They still make a 40gr Vmax bullet, so reloading might be your only option to get what you're looking for.
