.22 Accelerator

Does anyone know the availability of ".22 Accelerator" cartridges in Ontario ?
Search on-line suggests that they may still be manufactured by Remington in 30-30, 308, & 30-06; but cannot find a source.
Also has anyone had much experience and opinion with them ie: accuracy and range ?

They were discontinued. Remington's attempt to let varmint hunters use their deer rifles for varmints. Accuracy was abysmal.

discontinued years ago, but sometimes it can be found at gunshows if you really want to try a box.

If you really dig around, there have been a few runs of sabots (the plastic bit that the bullet sits in) made for reloading.

The accuracy is just as bad as factory, but at least you can claim you loaded them yourself.

The ones I shot in .308 were fricken horrid as far as accuracy. 4-5 inches at 75 yards, and point of impact hell and gone from the regular ammo, so it's not like you could just carry one "in case of".

Save your money. Bad idea, gone to a justified end.
