.22 adapter for WK180?

Is it possible to modify an AR15 conversion kit? I’m guessing yes but wondering if anyone has done so and how tricky it was.

The guys at ATRS modified a CMMG kit to work in my Modern Sporter, now it is a lot closer to an AR, but i'm sure a crafty enough machinist could tell you if it's possible.

i have to bring this thread back from the grave. a .22LR CMMG kit for the WK180 would be great! .223/5.56 is gotten super expensive not to mention hard to find... someone please make one!

i was under the impression they weren’t that expensive for the AR. the MK-22 is on my radar. but i’d pay a few hundred for a kit

The bolt carrier is totally different.

It's possible to make one. But you would be starting from scratch.

maybe some manufacturer will do it. with the price of ammo i think they would sell providing the price isn’t to steep. the AR kit with 3 mags is around 185.00 US. so 300.00 CAN maybe... i’d be in for that price range.

This would be a good project for one of the WK/WS aftermarket parts companies to get on. A CMMG with a modified rear portion to lock into the the rear of the receiver would be needed. The mags exist , it’s a blowback design. Be a heck of a lot cheaper than the 9mm conversions. You’d need to figure out the charging handle.

This is certainly the case. I evaluated adapting the various AR15 kits to work in the WK180 and it is not possible without heavy modification. Enough that adapting would cost far more than just making a new system.
