I know some people have managed to get some, but I've been looking for some myself for about 2 years without luck, your best bet is gun shows since this stuff has to be "creatively" (as in illegally) imported since it's apparently not on the NRCAN "approved" ammo list.

Tried it, and my view was that of most in general, that it is junk. So bad I gave away what I had after trying it.

I managed to get a few hundred rounds at a gun show. It smells funny but works very well in my 77/22. I would definately buy more if it was readily available.

The secret in utilizing this ammo is looking for firearms that will handle it well.
So far best results in a TOZ-8 .22 rifle and Ruger Mk2 5.5 inch bull barrel.

It worked not too bad in my 10/22 at 25 yards but the smell is pretty much unbearable.

A nice fellow at the gun range gave me a box to try out... I didn't find it very accurate, and found that the Super SE subsonics did better. He did say slower twist barrels would eat the stuff better. YMMV

i picked up a couple boxes form wholesale sports in calgary. i didnt find it to be anything special. it was like 15 or 20 bucks a box!!! wouldnt buy it again.

I have shot and may even have a little bit left. Its not a great round for what I wanted, but it was fun to shoot. I don't recall the smell being that bad, but I am used to shooting Aguila ammo.

I shoot the Colbri ammo. No powder - just the primer. make a rifle or pistol into an airgun. Quiet and easy to shoot. Accurate to about 30 feet.

Depends on what you consider expensive. It's roughly the same as 22 magnums and less than the cost of the 17 HMR ammo......

The SSS stuff is awesome. Hits hard given its slow speed but needs a special twist to get good acuracy;

Actually I didn't find that to be true. The long SSS bullet just penetrates. Sometimes it yaws and sometimes it travels nose forward. I never saw one expand in any manner. Conventional HP rimfire ammo produces a much more dramatic wound because it does expand.

As I'm sure you know its very hard to get a hollow point to expand at subsonic velocity. I doubt any of the .22 subsonic stuff expands much.

When I said "hit hard" I was referring to the penetration and greater energy inherent in the heavy bullet. I realize that's wasted if it passes through an object the size of say a gopher, but if you wanted to use it against a larger target I feel it would be superior to either .22 short or some of the lighter .22LR subsonic loads.

However I would defer to your knowledge in this area Suputin (which I'm told is extensive), feel free to edjoomakate me if I'm wrong.
