22 BB Caps/CB Caps

Is there any Hazard in using BB caps/CB Caps in an auto loader. By this I mean the lead not clearing the muzzle. I have only used these on a bolt rifle and that was a long time ago. I realize that every round would have to be hand fed.
Just wondering.

I've put a few cb caps through some auto 22's over the years just to see if they shot tight enough at 25 yds or so to dump squirrels.
The bullets would leave the muzzle each time, but the ammo wasn't potent enough to push the bolt open far enough to eject the
spent cases. Accuracy varied from piss poor to workable depending on the rifle used.

CCI 'Quiet' 22LR is the same velocity as CCI 'CB Short' and CCI 'CB Long'. CCI 'Quiet' 22LR will feed fine, but it won't cycle some semi-automatic actions; it makes them into a straight-pull bolt action.
