22 blanks in Ottawa

Nail guns deliver a huge amount of power. I would not want to try them as blanks in a starter pistol unless I had qualified assurance that they were safe.

I have done a lot of adventurous things in my day... but I would not try that. If you do try it, let us know how it goes.

Grab some of the Level 1 (Grey color code, IIRC) power driver blanks.

Pressure is near nothing, unless you block the barrel with a nail.

The Yellow ones (level 3?) dont expand enough to cause difficulty extracting them by fingernail, when fired in my Hammond Game Getter, where they are only supported by a ring around the rim end.
That's with a swaged down OO buck ball being driven down the barrel of my .308.

Cheers

x2, i have also played with them in my game getter.

#1 size should be no problem at all.

another option might be pulling and discarding a bullet from a regular 22lr, dumping the powder out and shooting it off with only the primer. just dont expect much of a pop when it goes off.

Found some...I was in Smiths Falls on my way home from skeet shooting and stopped in the hunting/fishing shop near Wally World and picked up a pack.

Regards,
Rob
