.22 brass catchers?

Hey fellas,

I do all of my shooting in the back woods. I'm not a fan of shooting at ranges. Usually I just huck a back drop into the back of my jeep, drive to a nice open little chunk of land to call mine for the afternoon. Now, I hate leaving my footprint in the woods with .22 caseings. I try to pick up all that I can, but with a .22 getting every single one is just not possible...not to mention how big of a pain it is looking for all of them. I've seen brass catchers for bigger rifles, but would one work on my 10/22 archangel build? If not does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any input!

Deluxe Mesh Brass Catcher

Deluxe Mesh Trap Shell Catcher

-Stop hunting for brass

-Stops damage to brass

-Universal fit, Fits most rifles

-Fits on your hand, or rifle.

- AR15 and Compatible Rifles

Now this looks like it fits the bill! Would this work with .22 caseings?

Tarp is a good idea aswell, just more to fuss around with. Not an idea I had thought of though! What are the chances of the casings melting the tarp?

Thanks for the help, lads!

I made one out of a mino net. Cut the handle off, bend to fit gun and glue on magnets on your gun or if your guns metal, glue magnets on corners of net. Holds about 50-75 rounds before jamming!
If you search for catcher you can see my posts and my finished pics! I have a semi auto and it throws then ten feet so a tarp isn't the best solution.

You can get elaborate and make a frame that is big enough that all you ejections pass through it. then use cammo netting or a drop cloth to cover it. The all you brass should be right there. If you set to cloth right it should fall into the cloth and be easier to collect.

Me? I would use a drop cloth as suggested.

I use them on my AA556R kit, as well as most of my guns, saves a lot of cleanup. When done i just unzip the bottom of the bag above a garbage.
