I was up to the range yesterday trying out my 10/22 with green mountain fluted barrel and Yukon stock. I was in the process of emptying a 25 round butler creek mag and I heard a pop. I checked inside the chamber and one round failed to extract, I pried the round out and found the round had no power. Has this happened to anyone before?

Nope. The Federal bulk packs are the only .22 ammo I use and have bought at least 20 of them in the past couple of years.

I have had a few ftf's with them but never took the time to find out why.....just tossed it aside and kept shooting......

Nope, never had it happen to me.

Are these the 36gr copper washed hollow points in the 525 round box?

They run well in my R22, but I have had a few FTF.

Never had a squib but I had 6 FTF's out of 50 with the standard blue box federals last week. I ended up giving the rest of the brick away.

It's a shame becuase they shoot really good out of my green mountain barrel but they won't extract when they don't light. I'm going to stick to cci from now on.

I've been having the same trouble with their match ammo as well. At least one ftf out of every 30. I will be trying the cci next, still have about 4 bricks of this stuff to use up first.
