.22 conversion for Beretta92 = good?

Does somebody have/have tried the conversion kit for a the 92fs. Is it really worth the +500$???? Do you know if I can buy it cheaper from another company? Am I gonna get any better with my 9mm if I practice shooting it in .22? Maybe I should just buy another .22 only? Cheers,

I have it for mine and like it. I like that I can use the same gun with the same trigger, but the price is steap.
 
It has worked better than the conversion kit I use on my Kimber. I have had a few failer to feeds, but that was mostly with Federal, CCI worked better.

You also need to use high velocity ammo. I was using Federal Game Shock & CCI Mini-Mag.
 
This guy http://w ww.sugarfreebob.com/BERETTA.htm has 'em for $299.00. There are a number of guys on this site that have bought the G17 AA kit from him, so the border shouldn't be a problem for him.
