Hey guys. Posted this in the Pistol section, didn't get a reply, so I figured I'd try here for some help.

I have the Beretta .22 conversion kit for my 92FS, (Beretta, not Cienner) and had two questions for you.

1. Is there a detailed disassembly walkthrough anywhere? Is there anything else I can do that will allow me to clean where the safety/firing pin is? (Obviously I've taken out the barrel/spring/guide rod)

2. I'm having light strikes on most of the ammo I'm feeding through it. It can take a second or third hammer strike to set off the primer (after FTF, wait 60 seconds. Still nothing, so recock the hammer and try again). It could be related to a carbon buildup within the firing pin area, so I'm wondering if I could just clean it out? If not, any other ideas?

Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully this won't be more hassle than it's worth. Otherwise, I'll bring it to P&D to get looked at.

The firing pin area on rimfire with a tight tolerance can cause the light strike indeed and that would be my first concern if I were you. Also have you owned the kit since new?? How many rounds have you put through it? What kind of ammo were you having the FTF's with??Just bulk stuff or CCI etc?

I have owned the kit since new. All told, I've probably put about 300 rounds through it. The FTF's are with all ammo, both new and stuff from 6 months ago. I've tried Winchester White Box bulk, CCI stingers, Federal, Blazer, and a bunch of others that I can't recall.

Clean and scrub or soak the bolt and if you can get the firing pin out clean that real well as well. I like to use remington dry spray lube, it holds less crap and is easier to clean off whne servicing the gun later.

I guess my question is more of "How do I get the firing pin out?" I figure it's just some fouling in that area, but I cant get to it to clean it :(
