.22 conversion kit vs dedicated upper

I am thinking of getting a conversion kit of somekind for my AR-15. I am wondering whick is the best one to get?

Get a dedicated upper. It's more accurate and won't foul the gas system.

I have the colt conversion and it works well with a norinco. Mine shoots under one inch at 25 yards and I think I paid about a 125 shipped where a dedicated upper would be quite a bit more expensive. It functions well and has not fouled the gas system. However your milage may very as the norinco has a 1-12 twist rate and 22lr is designed for an even slower 1-14 twist. Faster twists rates are more common in AR so that they can stabilize heavier bullets.

spike's tactical is where you should try to get a dedicated upper from. stay away from the VZ one. i heard that Oly Arms is/going to make a22 upper also.

< 16 means less than 16. With the export restrictions to regular AR barrels, I was wondering if that applied to .22LR barrels as well...
