Albert's in Timmins, 822 Riverside Dr. 10 individual packs of 50, to a brick.
Pick some up, while in town, visiting the Shania Twain Museum.

Been using the bulk 525 packs(same thing) for awile, in rifle and handguns. One of the more reliable and accurate of the inexpensive stuff, I find.
Shania says, "Hi".

wholesale sports had the 525 bulk pack for the same price, ran out by the time i got there

My local WSS has them for 20 bucks as the normal price. Buy a couple box's every time im in there.

There is only two kinda of ammo I keep for my 22's, CCI's and the 525 round federals.

Have shot the 525 round federals through a variety of guns, with absolutely no issues. Gone through 3 or 4 box's of them.

The Winchester stuff on the other hand.... Junk.

lying cheating ba$tards

Went in yesterday after reading the post and bringing an order from our local gun club who are in the middle of a 22 rifle competition.

There are the blue bricks of federal ammo right out in the display - I ask the old coot (and I aint young) if that was the 20 dollar a brick federal i had read about on the web. I see him trying to do math in his head and he says its 25 bucks a brick.

I say that I have read on the web that its 20 bucks - can he check. He disappears for a few minutes and comes back with a woman in her thirtys. They enter a debate about the price (with me noting there isnt a price sticker or listing anywhere). They are trying to figure out the cost of 1 box and then what a brick is. Finally she says "thats right - its 19.99 a brick". I say great - I will take 8 bricks. Buddy cuts open a case and tales out two bricks and gives her the case to take to the till. I then have to remind buddy to do the PAL paperwork and we do that. He says something stupid along the lines of its a good thing its his last day as he needs a day off. he keeps talking about the price is 25 bucks a brick.

I go look at some fishing tackle and I see the two of them talking agitatedly so I walk back to the counter. Buddy has a single box of Remington Thunderbolt in his hands and a brick. He is trying to tell the woman that its not the same ammo thats in the brick and doesnt have the same SKU number.

I interject and say baloney - its the same ammunition - he then takes a closer look and says something like - oh so it is.

Just as i am thinking he isnt qualified to work there - she turns and tells me that the price on the federal is wrong and its 25 bucks a brick. I say you told me its 19.99 a brick and I am buying 8 bricks - she says that the best she can so is 22 bucks a brick. I tell her no thanks - I came with orders for a club at 20 bucks a brick and if she isnt going to give it to me at that price - I am going to Walmart and buying the Winchester 555 at 19.99 a brick. She shrugs her shoulders and walks away so I left with 160 bucks worth of bullets to put away and went to Walmart. Before I left I had to go and tell buddy to scratch my name out of the ammo book.

Piss me off - I dealt with Alberts for years when it was down town and they were pretty good to deal with. With the new owners and staff that obviously dont know $hit about customer service (I should have known when I was looking at cut down 303's on the shelf for 300 bucks).

I always try to support local gunshops in towns with big box stores but I can tell you I will never go in there again.... And I will tell everyone at the club who didnt get their order of Federals the story of why they didnt....

So trebor2880, feel free to print this string out and post it on their front door
