Anyone else find it too hot?
I was running it through a Savage 219 and it had the disconcerting habit of dumping out the primer with an Earsplitting 'Crack' about every fourth round.
Now is when someone tells me to slug the bore. Slugging the bore on .22's sucks, so it got shelved, for a later look-see.
I was reloading with good results anyhow.
Got to it and knocked the bullets out of the remaining rds yesterday. They are exactly the same diameter is my reloading fodder ( .221 on a digital caliper...both knocked down bullets and reloading stock ), so saying that the caliper isn't reading true...might be correct. But the same diameter bullet reloaded works fine through through this rifle.
Therefore it must be the actually powder charge and resulting higher pressure that is the problem, no?
Typically Hornady brass is top notch so I'm not entertaining 'Faulty brass' as a culprit.
Anyone else had issues with the Hornady fodder?
