22 lr distance

shot a gopher at about 115m two years ago, haven't tried to shoot one that far out since. Win Power Points in a 16in Clerke heavy bbl. That was accurate enough for me at the time.

Are you tried to shoot minute of angle or minute of gopher or minute of barn ? Just how accurate do you want to go ?

Just for giggles, throw a target out at 300m and see where you have to aim to hit it.

Easier to do on a day with broken clouds.....;) :D

I've been plinking the metal ram (full sized) out at 200 yards at our range...kind'a fun to go 'Bang', then wait and wait and wait 'Plink'. :D

Now I have read that back in the 20's, 200yards was the standard range for .22 shooting, and that was with aperture sights. :)

What ammo, scope (?) and rifle please. What kind of accuracy?

LH

200yards.
From a benchrest position.
Mossberg 46M(b) .22
CCI Stingers, or American Eagle copper washed 38 grain.
Almost no wind.
Playing card sized groups.
Bushnell rimfire 3x9x24 scope.

Offhand...I need the whole Ram. :D

I'd do more but I'm a lazy bugger, and hate walking up and down the range, all day (as I don't have a spotting scope) so I do it more for the plink value.

Also hanging golfballs, and used shotgun hulls at 50 and 100 yards are lots of fun. :D

ruger 10/22 bull Barrel 6/24 mil-dot bushnell prone with sand bags 6" steel gong 200 meters...PMC Zappers

I can do minute-of-gopher to about 130yds consistently with my heavy BBL savage Mark II BV & CCI stingers & quik-shoks. It's got a 4-12x44 AO Bushnell Banner scope

2" gong at 100yds. from a bench is very challenging for the average joe. Need good gun and glass. Off hand a 6'' disc at that range gives me enough trouble.:)I like the 100yd. distance though. Wind plays a big factor.:D

I shot a feral cat in the head at 246 paces last fall. It was bull#### luck and it took me 4 shots to "walk it in" with the right hold over. Killed the cat stone dead though. Most of my serious shooting is done at either 50 or 100yrds.

Oh ua, and a Vostock/ Stralla with a Leupold 36X.

Ammo ranges from Eley to RWS .

Groups can go as small as 10 shots under 2" or less.
