I absolutely love my AA kit for the Glock 17. It's the best thing I've bought in a long time....so much fun to shoot, cheap to feed, and accurate too. I bought mine and a bunch of spare mags from Wolverine.
Don't waste your money. Spend your money on reloading gear. You'll be much happier in the long term especially if you get into some form of competition.
i just got an AA kit and i have to say compared to the p226 classic.... it's 2nd best. After about 200 rds, the AA won't cycle. I had to file some of the plastic on the magazine that guides that follower down a bit cuz it is too big and extracting rounds hang up on this plastic bit. If you get this problem look up "glock 22lr conversion kit magazine mod" there is another forum out there where a guy goes into great deal about how to do this with a dremel tool. Now i get 1 hang up every 10 rds. Expected, i guess. It is 22lr but kinda a p@ss off. The p226 22 classic is much smoother and not as finicky and i am looking at getting another one....don't ask about another one but i sold my sig. noob move. The glock locks back on the last shot, so i guess that is one perk but i am not impressed with it's reliability. Good thing its only 22lr. Somebody said a quick clean. I pretty much strip mine down, clean the feed ramp into the barrel, get all the lube off the barrel, clean the piece that cycles the barrel back, clean the firing pin bolt face(?) and clean the ejector....then lube the crap outta the barrel and the piece that cycles the barrel. Touchy little bugger this unit is but it's fun when its running and i wanna stomp it when it hangs up. Thats my take. Here is what i did on my AA magazine. The one on the left has the plastic high around the follower. The one in the middle has that plastic around the follower filed down and the one on the right has the plastic high around the follower as it comes. For about 30 rds the one on the left and right work okay but start hanging up when the extractor is dirty or the barrel feed ramp is dirty. Then it will only fire once and not extract causing a ejection/ double feed. The mag in the center is with the filed plastic and it allows the follower to feed the rd into the chamber while the extractor pulls the spent case. You'll know when it happens what i am talking about. The higher plastic around the follower is too high for the barrel feed ramp. This high plastic prevents the spent rd from ejecting and is too high to prevent the follower to feed the next round. The "u" shaped bit around the follower on the middle mag is not a mod but the older style of AA mag. Noticed the difference between the followers, how the center one is almost all follower while the right and left followers are boxed in by the plastic that needs filing.Hopefully you get it.
