Aguila 50 rounds, standard velocity, 40 gr - $4.93

Winchester 555 bulk packs-$32.00

I’ve never bought the aguila stuff before, it’s normally $7.29/box, so I impulse bought up a few dozen boxes. I’m not even sure if that’s a good price?

I've found the aguila stuff to be pretty decent and started buying it before the price increase last year. I'll have to check my local CT and stock up.

I've never been a fan of the Winchester stuff whether its 555, 333, etc. Jams and FTF in rifle and pistol so just avoid it

The Aguila been on sale at my local CT at that price for about 5 months... no one's touched it.

Ha! I guess I got suckered. Oh well, one can never have too much on hand.

The last time I bought any large amount of 22 lr was when a bulk pack cost $22.00. My stash is getting depleted and I have to start stocking up again.

I miss those days, I remember not that long ago I walked by it at the gun shows for $20.00 for a box of 500.

There are seven countries with the suffix "stan". Its meaning is homeland, place of, nation, country. For example, homeland of the Afghans. When the suffix "stan" is added to an adulterated version of the name "Canada," it may not be only liberals who cringe at such mocking; no doubt there are people of a more conservative persuasion who also find it questionable. At the same time, there may well be many liberals who have contempt for the people from counties with stan as a suffix. ;)

When I was a kid, Aguila was pretty much the cheapest crap you could by. We used it for rabbits and grouse and it worked ok. Some batches were very heavily waxed and jammed up the little semi-auto pretty quick. Now they are considered quality ammo? I prefer CCI.

It would be so nice to be left alone to pay our taxes, enjoy our property and die in peace, but no, not to be. We have to have Bovine excrement rammed down our throats like on Tuesday March 20th I don't even own an AR but I am a little p'd off. It does not feel very good to be held responsible for the actions of a bunch of sick F's from another Country. Now you know why I typed the K word. I just don't feel free. Fentanyl killed 4000 people last year & Socks is coming after Law abiding people who kill no one. May be I'll have to move somewhere worse to feel better about where I live now. There is an election coming up, who knows, a ray of hope.

Sorry for going off topic. There is no Aguila at our Cambodian Tire:)

I must be real old. I bought my first case of 5000 .22LR standard velocity target ammo for $175.00 back in 1986. Used it all up in less than a year. I thought it was getting bad when a bulk pack of Federal hollow points went up to $17.50 back in the early 2000s. My income may have doubled since the 80s but the ammo seems to have almost quadrupled in price...
