Seems these days I can't find any standard velocity ammo made by the common ammo manufacturing outfits in North America. I know high end target stuff is available but don't feel I want to spend 10 bucks a box for the stuff.

I remember shooting tons of the CIL Canuck standard ammo years ago and just shot through my last brick of Federal Champion standard vel. ammo which all shot very well through my old Brno Mod 5. The high velocity stuff everyone carries now is not as accurate and has more associated noise and all.

Any suggestions or info out there?

Wapiti, have you seen T22 at more than one Crappy tire? I looked on the Winchester web site but it wasn't even listed so I assumed it's not made anymore. It shoots great in my Anschutz so I would love to get more of it. Guess I have to check the local store.

Lapua Standard or Super Club is good also and under $500 a case/5000.
Eley is also available in their lower grades for about the same.
Both shoot better than the lots of CCI SV I have tried. They are available thru International Imports and Hirsch Precision has Lapua also.

It is carried in at least two out here, and a buddy in Ontario just picked up some back there (gunshop not CT) so it must still be made.

Thanks for the replies guys. I used to shoot a lot of the Winchester T22 as well. Have not seen that stuff around for years. Will have to investigate further. Bought a couple 100 packs of CCI Green Tag ammo...will have to field test it.

I went to the local Crappy Tire yesterday and they had (used to) 21 boxes of T22 on hand at $4.49 a box. It does'nt seem to print as good as the old stuff I had but that could be me. The box says standard velocity so that may have something to do with it
