.22 mag to .17 HMR

Just wondering,beings you can build a .17hm2 from a .22lr can you turn a .22 WRM into a .17HMR.What would be involved thanks

I can't think of anything else, if it were 22 lr, then its a mess a work , with all of the above.
Saw your post on ee, their is a nice Marlin cheap. Just look down the list there.

Assuming you're talkin a bolt action? BBL should do you... for semi auto there is MUCH more to it and not worth the effort.

It could also be relined just like lots of 22's are done... which of course would require a liner, a drill, a chambering reamer, epoxy and the "how to".

Yep just looking at turning a JW-23 rinco into a heavy barrel .17HMR,should make a good winter project(action polishing,stock work,finding suitable barrel,etc) thanks for the input guy,s
