22 magnum

Thank you for your input so far....... does anyone know of a good reliable 22 mag bullet or is there such a thing?

My Ruger likes 35gr Remington ballistic tips, but they are very expensive.
My mate gave me about 500 rds of winchester 40gr soft points and the gun does"nt like them(3"-4" @ 100 yds), but my favourite at present is the 40 gr CCI Maxi Mag. Affordable and acceptably accurate in my rifle. I tried the Maxi Mag Plus V ammo(35gr?) but they were the worst groups of all, barely could keep it on an A4 target at 100 yds. I can reliably hit a rabbit at 115 mtrs, any more is a bit of a push, esp if there"s any wind.
Hope you find a round she likes, .22 mag seems to be very choosy!

My 597 really likes the remington 33gr v-max and they work great on ground hogs, not many make it to there hole!!

I took the trigger mechanism apart but can't find any springs to change to. I am trying to decrease the trigger pressure and as some earlier posts indicated.... try and replace the springs in the trigger mechanism.... Does anyone know where I might be able to get springs that might fit. They are smaller than any pen spring I can find.....thank you

I have tried a number of ammo for my Sako Quad but the best groups I shot was from the Fed. Gameshock 50 gr. HP and CCI Maxi Mag 40 gr. HP. They both were under 1” at 100 yards...

I am trying to decrease the trigger pressure and as some earlier posts
indicated....

Try polishing every contacting surfaces with 400 or 600 grit sand paper then
clean and lube.
