I'm looking to figure out what shoots best in my new Annie. I was wondering where the best place is to order a variety of match grade 22lr from to avoid having to do multiple orders and pay for shipping multiple times.

Tesro offers sampler packs in mid range and high end. You basically buy a brick and its a mixture of different products that give a good variety to get you started.Hes located in Ottawa so not far for a drive or for shipping.

Another option might be going to your local club or match and see if you can buy a single box from the guys you are shooting with. I'm sure there would be a decent selection of quality ammo being used and they might be willing to part with a box if you explain what you are trying to accomplish.

I'm sure I have less experience with Anshchutz than allot of the guys on this forum...BUT...unless you're competing with the thing (or don't plan on shooting much)..you could always give garden-variety ammo a go and see how the gun likes it. I have an older 1450, and a relatively new 64 MPR (TT)..and ammo testing days reveal allot about a gun's preferences. I've found my 64 seems to like CCI SV ($5-ish/50), SK Rifle Match ($11/50) and RWS R50 ($30+/50) The first 3 shots I fired with the R50 @ 50 yards, I though 1 hit the paper and the following 2 might have missed it. Nope. Just made the hole a little bigger. lol Do I use R50 for that gun now? NOPE! That was the first and last time I bought a box of 22 costing that much. lol I like shooting too much to feed it caviar-grade ammo all the time, but fun to see what's possible.

CCI SV-you could cover the 50 yard groups with a quarter with the odd excellent group. SK Rifle match-sort of my go-to, and way more accurate than I need for plinking. Which is what I do mostly.

As for where to get-I hate having ammo shipped and having that cost tacked-on to my sport. However, it's a necessity depending on where you live. If I was getting ammo shipped, I'd look to Nordic first, Tesro next, etc. I shop @ Tenda, and Rangeview Sports-both CGN sponsors. I feel like I'm a bit lucky to find good ammo selection @ Rangeview (often there though) and Tenda seems to always have allot to offer.
