Need some important advise folks. I own a 1936 ES350B Mauser obviously in 22 LR.
I had a custom target stock built. It's bolt is in original form. It's got a Weaver T-10 Microtrak scope in high rings.

I wonder what I could do to mounts and 30mm scope body in an attempt to grind it out to 400 perhaps 500 yards?
I desire to not modify the bolt. I heard a rumour the Timney trigger for 1891 Argentine Mauser could be made to fit?

Need some guidance and I am not going to ruin this fine rifle.
The custom select walnut stock has an adapter for Atlas bipod.
Am I out of my mind ???

Trigger aside, are you looking to put a scope with a 30mm tube on the Mauser?

If this rifle has 11mm dovetail grooves, there are 30mm dovetail rings that will do the job.

The European 11mm dovetails are mostly very similar.

To get increased elevation, there are a couple of choices. One would be to get dovetail mounts that are adjustable for elevation, such as FX No Limit dovetails rings, which allow height adjustment.

An alternative would be to get dovetail to Weaver (Picatinny) adapters. Then FX No Limit Picatinny rings could be used. Another alternative that can be used would be Burris Signature rings with the offset inserts.

A more expensive alternative would be to get a scope that has an abundance of elevation adjustment. To zero at 400 yards, it's necessary to have about 68 - 70 MOA of vertical at 100 (i.e. the bullet needs to be able to strike nearly 70" high at 100 yards).

You could look at Brurris Signature Zee dovetail rings. With the inserts for 30moa. 20 In the rear and 10 up front.

If you want more room for obj. Could get BKL dovetail to weaver adapters, then use weaver signature rings. Those are made for the curved 11mm rails.
