I've decided that I want a .22 pistol and I tend to gravitate towards the MP22, P22, Mosquito style. Just wondering if there are any others I should be looking at and which is the superior pistol .
CZ Kadet is by far the best of the breed, but for half the price I love my M&P22.
I have owned every one of these types of .22 pistols and the M&P is the best bang for the buck, but the CZ is a better and more accurate pistol. It is also twice the price so that is something to consider.
In the target/space gun category my vote goes to the Ruger MKIII Target, and I love the Hunter model.
I'd avoid the Mosquito like the plague. Ditto for the Walther P22. Both pistols suffered from cheap potmetal slides that break and the Sig is known for being picky about ammo. I admit to really liking my Ruger Mk.1: not the prettiest pistol I own, but by far the most accurate, and it eats any ammo I feed it.
I really like my GSG 1911/22lr. Works great and it works with all the ammo I have tried. Your welcome to try it out if you close the Kingston area. Pm me if you want to try it out.
I have the GSG1911 and it is good value. I bought a Ruger .22LR/.22WMR convertable revolver and that is fun as well. Longer bbl. on the Mag is best I think. The .22 Mag was close enough to the FN 5.7 mm that I had to try it. The Mag makes more bang and is accurate at 55 yards which a .22LR is not. We have a gong at 55 yards and the .22 WMR will hit it 4/6 shots and I am a really bad shot. The .22 WMR ammo. is not cheap like a .22LR, closer to on sale 9mm actually.
I bought a CZ Kadet a few months ago from a fellow gunnut and couldn't be happier with it. Its built very well and will readily accept standard CZ75/85 parts if you should need them.
