I just picked up a newT-3 SS unfired 222 rem Crazy deal ,gun trade, thats why I own one ,
Just running throught the manuals and reading some history about the cartridge and at one time and still today it should be an accurate little bugger.
I plan on starting with 2 powders Varget and H-322 anyone know a better one to try or a good starting point? Just going to run with a lee collet and plain ol win brass for now.

Sorry missed a 2 in the title

If your 222 doesn't shoot 22-23 grains of H322 and a 50 Ballistic Tip, it probably should be sold!! Never saw a triple deuce that didn't shoot under an inch with this load. Other good powders are RL7, W748, Benchmark, H335, BLC-2 and H4198. Have fun, Eagleye.

Great results with the IMR 4198 at 19.0g and 52g SMKs BTs showed me 2 groups at .35 with new unfired brass for 5 shot groups,
The funny thing was at 19.5 the groups were just under 1 inch and at 20.3 max loads were getting better again in .4s, but it did not like anything between 19.2 and 20.1.
H322 at 23.4g max was .4s but the slower loads stung out verticaly.
The little T-3 seems like a keeper to me.
